The Queen Mother Library’s (QML) architectural team (“The Queen Mother Library Architects Team”) received the ‘First Place’ in the Architects Association of Cambodia’s competition to redesign the old Phnom Penh airport (Pochentong airport).
The competition for the redesign of the old Phnom Penh airport began in December 2025 with the entrance of 850 young Cambodian architects, and The Queen Mother Library Architects Team comprised four young Cambodians. Our team was notified that there were 2 ‘First Place’ and 1 ‘Third Place’ for the final round. The judges did not select a ‘Second Place’.
